shirt: no label, sunglasses: cheapo

I've been enamored of this shirt ever since I saw it hanging in my friend Annie's closet--so I borrowed it. Thanks Annie!

just don't call it a comeback

Closet diving at my parent's house is still yielding hidden treasures. For instance, this vintage Gucci bag I bought at a consignment store about 5 years ago. Don't ask me how I could forget about it, but needless to say, I remember now, and I'm in love all over again.

wearing sister's dress (unknown brand), vintage bracelets, vintage Gucci bag, Urban Outfitters boots

I'll be sad when my parents come home and I have to give up my role as Kobe's main belly scratcher/playmate/treat dispenser. We are so totally soul mates.

Also, these are his nicknames:

Po Bo
Bubba Booer

no one gets sick in july

No one except me, apparently. What began as a seasonal allergy attack has ended in full-fledged stuffyheadachyfeveryuckiness. And that sucks because today was a great day. An amazing singer songwriter named Terra Naomi stopped by our offices for an impromptu performance, I found yet another dress of my sister's to wear, and Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in the chokey. I'm just bummed I don't feel better so I could really absorb the awesomeness of it all.

Raiding sister's closet at my parent's house: wearing Necessary Objects dress (top pictures), vintage belt and bag, necklace from Italy, random sunglasses. Photos below: Old Navy dress from a few years ago (also sister's), same necklace, Minnetonka moccasins.

I attended the 4th of July parade in my hometown just outside of San Francisco. Yesterday I took my old Dodge Dart out to the beach and just prayed the breaks wouldn't give out. They didn't. Perfect weekend so far.

closet thrifting

And no, I don't mean thrifting on the sly or thrifting as a shameful secret. I mean thrifting in your closet, or in my case in the closet of my old room at my parents' house. I got rid of almost everything I couldn't take with me when I moved out after college, but unexpectedly found a small treasure trove of shoes that I put away when they became so disappointingly passé that I couldn't stand the sight of them. And well, you know fashion, what's old is new again.

Peep out Kobe's crooked little foot in the pic above. I love his crooked little feet.

Hope everyone has a happy 4th, filled with beer and sun and processed meat products and camel toe inducing shorts and everything else that makes America great.
