It's still cold as balls in SF and I can't be bothered to bear an inch of skin. I'm dreaming of warm beaches, cold beer, and endless days punctuated by heavy drinking (don't judge). Why does summer have to end before it even started? I haven't even worn my tie dye shorts yet from J. Crew!!!

These pictures were taken over the weekend at my parent's house in (marginally sunnier) Marin. My sister gave me the t-shirt just before skipping town, and although I usually don't wear printed t-shirts, I took a shine to the watercolor print. Also, I stole her necklace. Thhhhanks Rachel.

Not only can I not get enough of Janelle Monae's album The Archandroid, I'm also totally digging her playfully androgynous personal style--complete with bow ties, custom-made saddle shoes, and perfect little tuxes. Oh, and that pompadour. I die.

And finally, her latest music video which just happens to be one of my favorite songs on the album.

So pissed because I'm sick and missing a dinner at RN74 with the fam. Trying to cheer myself up by using tiny pot leaf stencils on my nails only works halfway. I should have some delicious food in my mouth.

Fistfuls of my favorite rings, perfect wide flares, and new ombre manicure that I attempted to do myself. Just a few things that make my Monday suck less hard.
