some like it hot

F21 shoes, nails from about a week ago

I caved. The F21 Miu Miu wannabes are mine. I'm thinking of painting them...

Also just finished watching Some Like it Hot for the first time (I know, shameful) and was shocked by how racy it is. The beaded dress that Marilyn wears in the film basically gives you a front-row seat to see her tatas in all their voluptuous glory for 2 1/2 hours. Also, I had no idea it revolved so heavily around cross-dressing. It's like a 1950s version of To Wong Foo: Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar, which incidentally is also a fine film.

The dress was apparently languishing forgotten in the back of some dude's closet for the past 50 years, and was only recently discovered when he took it on Antiques Roadshow, where it was appraised at $250,000. Not bad for something that looks like a Bob Mackie creation.

  4. You are right, the heels are hot, the nails are spunky and she has my permission to wear that dress any time.

Thanks for your comment, I love getting positive feed back.

    Have a super week.

  5. OH man, I remember that dress from the movie. Then again, at least she had the body to show it off!

Loving those nails and the shoes! Oh, how I wish we had an F21 over here... sigh.
