There isn't much anything better than sitting around in a park on an early fall day in San Francisco. I had the pleasure of experiencing just such a day a couple of weekends ago when my sister and her boyfriend were in town from New Orleans. This was armageddon weekend in SF. It was a...penta-fecta (if I may coin a term) of the Giants playing at AT&T park, The Castro Street fair, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Fleet Week, AND the Blue Angels air show. This resulted in a grand cluster fuck of people in nearly every corner of the city as well as a dearth of transportation options. I think it took me 2 1/2 hours to get home on the bus. Good thing I saw my sister SO IT WAS WORTH IT.

Was it worse than riding BART during Pride? Being smashed between sweat and fairy wings? I bet it was the same. Looking very nice in black and white.
ReplyDeleteOh, love your sunnies!
ReplyDeleteWow, that sounds like a pretty awesome weekend! So much going on! Nothing ever happens here :p

I think our weekends were separated at birth - I had my sister and her boyfriend visit from out of town too on that clusterfuck weekend. We were at the Marina to see the Blue Angels though, it also took us two hours to get home because absolutely every single bus was jam packed :( we had to walk up and over Divisadero to get home (they wanted to kill me!) it was either that or walk through the Presidio forest!
ReplyDeleteI want to visit SF so bad!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos... I also really missed the time I was stranded in San Francisco for 3 days and nothing to do but enjoy the city. Beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteAlso thanks for the comment about negative people... so right. It's tough, but sometimes you gotta do what ya gotta do :)
