wearing thrifted floral dress, thrifted denim jacket, H&M shoes, DIY earrings, vintage/thrifted/Lisa Levine bracelets
Went out last night to celebrate the boyfriend's birthday. I think he'd kill me if I told the whole blogosphere how old he is, but let's just put it this way: he's closer to 50 than he is to being born. But then again, so am I...
Getting older is awkward. And not charmingly so.
On a slightly less morbid note, I went honest-to-goodness shopping today for the first time in God knows how long. I spent too much money, but everything was on sale and I didn't get a single item from Forever21, so all-in-all I'd consider it a smashing success. Suck it, recession.
Below, some of my goodies. Try not to die of jealousy.
Christian Dior sunglasses, silk pants from Anthropologie
Inspiring quote of the day: "What other people think of you is none of your business."
So true! Sometimes honesty is self-defeating. I need to remember this.
I love this whole look but those pants and sunnies just kill!
ReplyDeleteooh and I am trying to find the place in the mission, what area do you live in?
ReplyDeletegetting older IS awkward ..that's such a great way of explaining it.
ReplyDeleteI love both of these outfits AND those Diors! so hot! ...I'm on the market for some new sunglasses and a new handbag. At least birthdays still pay out in gift cards ..lol. ...the cactus in the toilet is hilarious. I think the second photo is my absolute fave!
I didn't get a single item from Forever 21. ahahahaha
ReplyDeleteI'm in an atrocious, pmsing mood. That just made me laugh. Thank you.
You look super cute and not at all depressed. GOOD. Looks are what realy matter, jk. <3

I think my brain is fried...I never think badly about getting older. I see me in 10 years, wearing a ton of sweaters (layered, of course ;) with 7 cats in my apartment. Heh.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love those silk pants, the sunnies and the thrifted floral dress (I'm looking all over the place for something that pretty, and you're thrifting this stuff??! Not fair ;)
p.s. what other people think of me is none of my business, nor do I ever intend to make it my business. Ignorance is bliss, ce n'est pas?
Hmm first I have to say, I died of jealousy of Dior sunglasses.. confess! hahaha.
ReplyDeleteSecond, really "What other people think of you is none of your business''.. that quote is from Bob Marley right? I think so.
And when you feel affected by something that other people say, try to remember that!
Nobody has more value for yourself, that YOU! So cliche and so true!
Nice outfits .. as always.
Good week.
Much love,
Jamily.
Great sunglasses... glad you found something to buy. Sales start here in two weeks and I haven't spent a penny in anticipation of what will be emptying of my shopping funds.
ReplyDeleteAdore that outfit as well, especially the dress. Have a great week!
gorgeous dress! it looks great with the denim jacket
ReplyDeleteYou are right getting older is weird. I still think I am like 15 and then I look around and realize I live on my own. I love your pants from Anthropology and your dress is awesome. It reminds me of something Kelly from 90210 would have worn on the first day of sophomore year.
ReplyDeletethose sunnies are awesome!
ReplyDeleteyou crack me up....love the toilet cactus shot lol!
you look darling as always:)
I'm dying of jealousy!! Those Dior Glasses sooo rock! You lucky lucky gal!
