home goods
It's been awhile since I shared pictures of my apartment, so indulge me and pretend you care for a minute. Most everything is thrifted/hand-me-down/swiped from the street (the best place to furniture shop in SF) and everything has just very recently started to come together in a semi cohesive way. I credit this to many late-night rearranging sessions and a healthy willingness to get rid of anything that doesn't fit or is just plain not useful.
My biggest gripe about my apartment is that it has wall-to-wall carpet, and gross wall-to-wall carpet at that. Luckily this flat-woven giant Ikea rug covers up most of the mess in the living room. I just need to find something similar for the dining room now. Someday I'll move, but in the meantime, rent control is a beautiful thing.

It looks amazing! Love the picture with the dog under the table! So cute!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool venue. Can I have my baby shower there? I'm the worst decorator ever. It's a shame since I'm always in so many thrift stores. I seriously have no eye for home design. Pokey is very cute and functional.
ReplyDeleteI am going to hire you to decorate my apartment :) Seriously, great use of space and I love the colors. Free Furniture!!! Sign me the fuck up!!! I don't think I have ever bought a piece of furniture in my life, and I have some great pieces, believe you me. People who are moving desperately just want to get rid of their shit ASAP. Luckily last week my yuppie neighbors gave me some nice plates and mugs, and a nice cedar chest dresser. WINNING!! As for the roommate story, haha yes it is true. I can laugh now, a year ago I would have cried.
ReplyDeleteLove the lamp base and the dog-shaped furry rug under the table...
ReplyDeleteI am in love with your apartment! Eclectic, clean, crisp, yet bright and sunny! Well, why would you want to hear me describe your apartment to you?! Very inspiring! -Jessica
