wearing vintage dress, crinoline, and shoes, sweater from La Rok, belt from Urban Outfitters
Somehow mother's day seemed the perfect opportunity to wear head-to-toe vintage. You've seen this dress here, here, and here, but it's such an amazing piece I thought it was worthy of a fourth homage. The shoes are from the '40s and I never wear them because they're so delicate, but I bought them at a vintage expo a couple of years ago. The crinoline constitutes part of my latest haul from Lili Vintage in New Orleans. And the sweater is a Lohemann's purchase from a gazillion years ago. Literally a gazillion. Remember when La Rok was cool? Yeah, it was a long time ago.
True story: I ate so much I literally split the seam of this dress after dinner. It's fixable, but offers concrete proof of my gluttony. Concrete proof I could have done without.
Adorably stylish vintage outfit! The '50s prom look seems set to stay with us for quite a while. Do check out the Grace Kelly giveaway at ShopCurious. Susan x
